We’ve discussed about movies and games for this quarantine. How about some off-screen time? Maybe sometime to do a family-reading? Reading is probably one of the best and most relaxing yet exciting exercises you can do. Yup, it too is an exercise. So let look at some of the books to read during these quarantine days.
There are so many benefits of reading that if I start creating a list of them, it would be a mile long.
Here ares some of my chosen ones:
- 1) Strenghtens your brain

- 5) Aids sleep
I personally read a lot. The books suggested to me are so fun!. In fact, when I buy new books, i Have to exercise a lot of control over myself or else I’ll finish it in just a day.

2) The Secret Of The Nagas.
3) The Oath Of The Vayuputras
About the Book: Shiva Trilogy: Combo of The Immortals of Meluha, The Secret of Nagas and The Oath of the Vayuputras The Immortals of Meluha 1900 BC. The Secret of the Nagas The second of the runaway fantasy hit series telling the fascinating story of Shiva, the man made God by the inhabitants of ancient civilization, Meluha (The Immortals of Meluha is part one). And Shiva, the Tibetan immigrant who is the prophesied destroyer of evil, will not stop till he punishes the evil nemesis who has taken the life of someone he loves-and threatens that of another one.
The Maze Runner Trilogy – Best books to read No 2
Even though it’s said that this is a trilogy, there is a fourth book to it, however it isn’t considered a solid part of the series. But this is second series on my list of books to read
The books in order are:
1) The Maze Runner
2) Scorch Trials
3) Death Cure
5) Kill Order
This book has an amazing story line about friendship, sacrifices and the will to survive.
This book literally highlight the saying ” Survival of the fittest”
If you ain’t scared, you ain’t human.
Outside the towering stone walls that surround the Glade is a limitless, ever-changing maze.
The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings – Best books to read No 3
If you are going to read a fantasy, read in its new form the Ur-fantasy, the godfather of the whole genre. If you enjoy fantasy but haven’t read LOTR, you may be losing out — anything you know about the genre has its origins here (even if it’s only to deny all Tolkien set down), and few fantasy epics have a history as rich as this.
The books are:
1) The Hobbit
2) The FellowShip of The Rings
3) The Two Towers
4) The Return of The King
Dark Tower Series – Best books to read No 4
The Dark Tower is a series of eight novels written by American novelist Stephen King, combining multi-genre elements from dark fiction, science fiction, horror, and western.
In the story, Roland Deschain is the last living member of a knightly order known as gunslingers and the last of the line of “Arthur Eld”, his world’s analogue of King Arthur. Sometimes, even the sun rises in the north and sets in the east. As the series opens, Roland’s motives, goals, and age are unclear, though later installments shed light on these mysteries.
This is one of the must-read series. Though there are 8 books in total and a lot of pages to read, do give them a shot.
The Hunger Games Trilogy – Best books to read No 5

Now most of the series I’ve mentioned are turned into movies, but please give the books a try. There is so much that a movie doesn’t show and plus the books give you a real feel.
In the next blog, I’ll come up with individual books that I absolutely love. Why don’t you mention some books series that you would like to add to my list?
